How we price
We quote rather than publish a list. Here's why, what changes the number, and how to get a real figure for what you actually need.
Why there's no price list here
A 24-inch box palo verde isn't a commodity. Two of them side by side, same box, same age, can be worth very different money depending on caliper, branching and how well the tree was trained. Printing one number for both would be wrong twice.
Container size tells you what a plant is growing in. It doesn't tell you what it grew into. That gap is small on a 1 gallon groundcover and enormous on a 48-inch box specimen.
So we quote. Tell us the plant, the size and how many, and you get a real number for material we actually have on the ground — not an average of everything we've ever grown.
What moves the number
Caliper, branching and training. This is the whole reason two identical boxes can be hundreds apart.
A run of forty 5 gallon shrubs isn't priced like four of them.
Walking the yard and choosing specific plants takes staff time, and it costs more than taking what's pulled for you.
What you're moving, how often you're in the yard, and how long we've worked together.
Quoted on where the job is and what's going on the truck. Ask before you commit and we'll work it out.
Palms are sold by the foot
With a palm you're buying trunk height, measured on the grey wood, not container size. A fifteen-foot Mexican fan palm and a fifteen-gallon shrub have nothing in common as a unit of sale, which is why palms never appear on a container list. Tell us the height you're after and we'll quote it.
Specimen material is quoted individually
Saguaro, ocotillo, golden barrel, fishhook barrel and the columnar cactus don't price off any list at all. Age, form, number of arms and how cleanly a plant lifted matter more than size. Come walk the yard, tag what you want, and we'll price what's standing in front of you.
Get a real number
Build a list from our availability page — plant, size, quantity — and send it over. We'll come back the same day with a price you can put in a bid.
Buying for a job?
