What works back home won't always live here.

Macias Nursery opened in 1994 and is still run by the family. We grow for the desert, which means the plants leaving our yards have already been through the heat you're planting them into.

The valley doesn't forgive a bad plant choice. Most of what we sell is desert-adapted — palo verde, mesquite, agave, ocotillo, yucca — but there's usually a way to get the look you're after with something that will still be alive in August.

Our crew is the reason people come back. Many have been here more than ten years, and they know what's ready in which yard.
